In May 2019 we went for the second time to

the Nocturnal Journal with Dave Hoekstra to present

our program of songwriting workshops with a gendered perspective to raise awareness and prevent violence against women.

After over 2 years of field work in Zacatecas and Tequila in Mexico ( plus a couple of workshops in Lyon, France and Chicago, IL) we were able to present it to Chicago thanks to the beautiful heart and soul of a group of exceptional musicians that went out their usual path

(and sacrificed a few gigs) to bring it the Chicago way !

Isaiah Collier from Isaiah Collier & The Chosen FewJaime Garza Rodriguez from Dos Santos

Laura Cambron from Ida y Vuelta and Karen Del Real.

On May 23rd 2019 we presented the lecture "Songwriting a mean to prevent gendered violence"  at the 49th International Ballad Conference of the Kommission für Volksdichtung "Human Relationships in and through Songs: Meanings and Contexts" at the Institute of Lithuanian Literature and Folklore.
